Eden Mulholland’s take on the pop music of the future comes complete with strange voices, ripped apart rhythms, momentary flashes from ethereal orchestras, and all with a complete disregard for genre boundaries. It may well be that Eden’s less conventional path in music – he formerly was a contemporary dancer – has helped shape his experimental approach to composition.
Eden is no stranger to touring and playing shows in Australia, New Zealand and the US. Eden and his band have supported the legendary David Bridie on his nation-wide tour, with Eden playing in Bridie’s band ‘The Pills.’ He has also played his own headline tours, the most recent in Australia in 2014. Eden is also the singer and writer for popular group Motocade, who have regularly toured NZ and overseas including CMJ festival, Homegrown, Rhythm & Vines and the Big Day Out. The song Tightrope Highway featured in MGMs 2012 film ‘Cabin In The Woods.’ Their single Holy Moly featured heavily on Home and Away and Hamish & Andy TV, also appearing in American series Life Unexpected. Holy Moly spent 8 weeks in the top 40 charts in New Zealand.
