Thom Lion is a ramshackle pop music treasure emerging from the beachside suburbs of Adelaide. At age four, when his free spirited parents allowed him to choose his own middle name, Thom drew on an obsession with The Lion King and Elton John to decide on 'Lion' as his most appropriate title.
He's approached all aspects of his life with the same irreverence and quirky nature ever since. With his rebellious cohorts The Tamers in tow, Thom Lion spent 2015 playing major Aussie stages with the likes of The Rubens, The Waifs and Saskwatch.
His tunes have been played on Triple J, Double J, ABC Radio and a host of other radio networks across the country. Thom Lion was recently named by the AU review as one of South Australia's top 5 emerging artists. The band has also been chosen to perform at this year’s Clipsal 500 Supercar event with Rob Thomas and Pete Murray in front of thirty thousand people. His latest EP, to be released this February, was produced by in Melbourne by John Castle (Vance Joy, Washington).
