This year a small $2 entry fee for adults will be taken to contribute to maintaining the critical security and crowd management costs in every effort to offer festival-goers the utmost comfort and safety. Children under 12 free of charge. If you intend on coming and going from the festival throughout the day, please ensure you receive a stamp from the volunteers on the gates when exiting and you'll be able to enter again at your convenience free-of-charge.
The Teneriffe Festival, held on Saturday 2nd July, is a full day event in and around the suburb’s riverside streets and laneways, commencing at 10am and offering a full day of music, food, children’s entertainment and market stalls until 9pm.
The festival stretches along Vernon Terrace from Florence Street to Commercial Road and incorporates road and laneway closures on Ethel and Dath Street in Teneriffe.
The road closures will be enforced from 12 midnight on Friday 1st July through to 12 midnight on Saturday 2nd July and parking restrictions will occur from 10pm on Friday 1st July. Local traffic detours will be in place where necessary, combining signage and assistance from traffic control personnel.
Making your way to the Teneriffe Festival has never been easier with Brisbane City Council's public transportation services being the most convenient way of getting delivered right to the Festival's entrance. Take the bus, ferry or Citycat to the Teneriffe Ferry Terminal and walk straight into the Festival.
We have 3 Gated Entry Points this year.
*Conditions of entry include a $2 entry per person (children under 12 free of charge) and compliance if requested by Security or Police on bag checks.
Please be aware of the following road closure instructions.
During this time you will NOT be able to remove your vehicle from your security car park. Vehicles left in the visitors car park or on the street within the road closure zone WILL be removed. The Teneriffe Festival has made alternative parking arrangements for all residents who wish to use their vehicles during the road closure period. Please contact your Building Manager for specific details to arrange this.
If you are a resident at the buildings listed above you can access your car parks AS PER NORMAL. On ENTRY/EXIT to your driveways please be mindful of the traffic diversions on the street.
