Getting There on the Day
By Sea:
Council will be providing additional CityFerry services for the Bulimba to Teneriffe river crossing to cater for the high attendance of people expected at this year’s Teneriffe Festival.
These services will have the capability of loading and unloading quickly to provide a seamless transportation service with the other scheduled services.
Customer Liaison Office will also be present at the busy Bulimba Terminal to help people making the cross-river ferry connection to the Teneriffe Festival or other connections back on the CityCat services.
By Land:
If you intend to drive your car......
This is a major event that will necessitate several road closures. These closures may affect you.
This year’s festival will see the event expand to include the closure of Florence St as well as Vernon Tce, from the Macquarie & Florence Sts intersection to Commercial Rd. Commercial Rd will not be closed this year.
Road closures in the Festival zone will be enforce from 5am to 10pm on Saturday and parking restrictions from 5pm on Friday.
On the day local traffic wishing to travel North to Skyring Tce, Commercial Rd and beyond to Breakfast Creek Rd will need to detour via James St, New Farm. Detour signs and traffic controllers will be placed at various crucial positions within the affected area.
Local Teneriffe traffic only, coming from New Farm will be advised to travel beyond the Merthyr Rd & James St intersections.
If you have any concerns regarding these arrangements please contact the events office, 3607 6388 or email, enquiries@teneriffefestival.org
Perhaps think about Catching the City Glider.....
Brisbane City Council Glider Bus Services will operate all day as usual to the Teneriffe Ferry stop from the city and West End.
Or Peddle to the Festival with CityCycle.
Grab a bicycle from the CityCycle network and park in the festival zone.
