The Teneriffe Festival was conceived after Brisbane’s inner city area of Teneriffe was officially named a suburb, early in 2010.
2011 marks the second year for the Teneriffe Festival, in which we will celebrate the suburb’s history, energy, cultural diversity, commerce and beauty.
The Festival incorporates a rich program of events, from street markets, concerts and historical displays. Several of Teneriffe’s main streets will be closed, offering our visitors a magnificent opportunity to discover the best that our suburb has to offer.
Our EVENTS page has a full schedule of the Festival’s activities.
The inaugural Teneriffe Festival attracted a total audience of approximately 30,000 people across all of its events, making it one of Brisbane’s most significant new festivals.
FESTIVAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The Teneriffe Festival Inc. is a not for profit organisation managed by a group of volunteer professionals.
The day is made possible thanks to the efforts of the management committee and the team of individuals who give up their time before, during and after the event. This year's board brings together experience, creativity and dedication to build this inaugeral event.
The board not only organises the event itself but organises sponsorship, publicity and marketing in the lead up to the Teneriffe Festival.
Please see our COMMITTEE page for details on the organising committee.
FESTIVAL SUPPORTERS
The Teneriffe Festival couldn’t come alive without the valuable support of local businesses and we have recently launched our sponsorship packages. Download here.
