Soulful narrative is the motivation behind Rattlehand’s music. Their alt-country/rock feel pays homage to the “outlaw country” genre of the 60’s and 70’s: it is a sound that happily deviates from the dominant paradigm. Rattlehand serve up bluegrass feels and country twang on a platter of guitars, bringing rock to the bayou.

Glenn Esmond played his first gig at age 14 and honed his chops in just about every pub in Brisbane and Melbourne. In 2002, he joined Brisbane rock band "The Butterfly Effect" and has played every major festival in Australia as well as countless sold-out shows here and overseas.

A growing obsession with singer-songwriters such as Springsteen, Dylan and Frank Turner, as well as a growing collection of musical ideas led Glenn back to the pubs again - armed only with an acoustic guitar and a handful of heartfelt pop/rock/folk songs.

He and his band "A Family of Strangers" are currently working on their second EP, following up last year's "New Techniques for Beginners and Champions."
