About Teneriffe

Brisbane’s biggest street party, the Teneriffe Festival celebrates the rich heritage and kaleidoscopically diverse community that is Teneriffe, by erupting in a fabulous fiesta of the best eats, beats, art and drinks the area has to offer. Inviting diverse culture-rich locals and visitors into the community, the festival has a plethora of activities and experiences such as the Tastes of Teneriffe, historical installations, film, fashion and art – along with endless dining and drinking experiences to reflect this truly unique area of Brisbane.

The Teneriffe Festival is a one-day event in and around the suburb’s riverside streets, commencing at 10am – 9pm and offering a full program of music, food, children’s entertainment and historical displays.

What's on

The event program is kaleidoscopic in its diversity, from historical to contemporary; from folk music through to punk rock; health and fitness through to cheese, champagne and oysters...We strive to create a one-day event that really does have something for everyone – regardless of age or tastes. The Festival attracts approximately 50,000 people, all keen to wander the riverside streets and hidden laneways, discovering our carefully curated programme of entertainment and street acts, local restaurants and food vendors, market stalls and displays, a glorious Kids Zone and dozens of community groups.

Getting there

PUBLIC TRANSPORT OPTIONS

Plenty of public transport is available to get to the Festival, so leave your car at home and catch a bus, CityCat or ferry. CityCycle stations are also available in several nearby locations.

RIDE NEURON

Skip the traffic and ride a Neuron e-scooter or e-bike to Teneriffe Festival! Dedicated Neuron parking stations can be found at Gate 1 and Gate 2 entrances.

PARKING

In the Brisbane Central Traffic Area you can park for a maximum of two hours on unsigned streets unless there are parking meters or signs showing otherwise. However, street parking is extremely limited within the inner city suburbs on most days. Therefore, we strongly advise not to drive to the Teneriffe Festival and instead take advantage of public transport or Yellow Cab services.

DRIVING

The road closures will be enforced from 12 midnight on Friday 26th May through to 12 midnight on Saturday 27th May and parking restrictions will occur from 10pm on Friday 26th May. (Local traffic detours will be in place where necessary, combining signage and assistance from traffic control personnel.

"Taxi and Uber

Designated Drop off and Pick up zone will be near gate 1.
